Welcome!
Solidago Solutions is the embodiment of all the things I love and want to see more of in the world.
I love fixing things. I love making sense of chaos and creating functional beauty. I find solace, solidarity, and (at least a little) sovereignty while working on projects in my home and on my urban homestead. I love connecting with the natural and built world around me. Through care and attention, these spaces show the secrets of their sacredness. A house becomes a home and a yard becomes a nourishing world unto itself.
I grew up in a world where working and creating with your hands was commonplace. My father was a union worker, a carpenter, and a handyman. My mother is an educator and artist. My first job was working for my dad in demolition and construction. I adored every moment I had working alongside him and to this day my mom and I always talk about beauty through the eyes of an artist.
I was drawn to the world of community education and farming by the desire to have my life’s work be a bridge between the social and ecological worlds that we engage with every day. Eating and farming are deeply personal, political, and ecological acts. They engage our bodies, minds, and spirits in a rigorous and loving relationship with the non-human world in a way that few other activities do.
Through farming, I honed my skills in small engine repair, construction, practical organization, and, generally, reimagining neglected spaces.
As a transformational coach, I love supporting people from where they are to where they want to be —whether that is assembling a bunk bed, organizing a space, growing a garden, creating something special for a magical occasion, or making a radical transformation toward simplicity and healing.
So next time you find yourself facing a problem, I hope you consider contacting me for a Solidago Solution.
Look forward to working with you soon,
